JOB OPENING: MOSQUE MANAGER
KOWLOON MASJID AND ISLAMIC CENTRE
Location: Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong Position: Full-time Mosque Manager
About Kowloon Masjid
Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre is one of the largest mosques in Hong Kong, serving as a spiritual, cultural, and community hub for thousands of Muslims. With a capacity of 3,500 worshippers, it is a landmark of faith and unity in the heart of Kowloon
Key Responsibilities
The Mosque Manager will oversee the smooth functioning of the mosque and its community services, including:
Operations & Administration :
Manage day-to-day operations of the mosque and Islamic centre
Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the mosque premises
Religious & Community Services :
Coordinate daily prayers, Friday Jumu’ah, Ramadan, Eid, and other religious programs
Support Imams and Khateebs in delivering sermons and religious education
Facilitate community events, lectures, and youth programs
Financial & Compliance :
Report all donations and collections to the Board of Trustees
Deposit all donations and collections in the Trustees bank account on a timely basis
Ensure compliance with local laws, safety regulations, and Islamic guidelines
Liaise with Islamic organisations, government bodies, and community partners
Community Engagement :
Act as a point of contact for worshippers and visitors
Promote interfaith dialogue and positive community relations
Handle inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum education level: Form 5 or above
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Knowledge of Islamic practices
Fluency in English & Cantonese; knowledge of Arabic, Urdu, is an advantage
Experience in administration, facilities management, or community leadership
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
