Who We Are

IMA — the association for everyone since 1979.

For more than four decades, IMA-HK has served as a vibrant and inclusive hub for Indian Muslims in Hong Kong — offering spiritual grounding, educational enrichment and meaningful service to society.
Rooted in faith, we unite community members across generations and backgrounds to build strong relationships, serve others, and grow together.
We believe that every person — regardless of age, origin or background — has the potential to become a catalyst for positive change, when supported by community, values and opportunities.
As we honour our heritage since 1979, we continually evolve — responding to new challenges, uplifting voices, and embracing innovation so that our community remains relevant, empowered and morally grounded.

Our Vision

A compassionate, confident and thriving Indian Muslim community in Hong Kong — empowered to lead with integrity, serve with humility and shine as beacons of virtue in a diverse society.
We envision a society where every member is cared for, every voice is heard, and every action reflects our shared values of faith, justice and kindness.
We aim to be recognised not only for what we do, but for who we are: a community where spirituality and service go hand in hand, where the next generation stands proud and equipped to make a difference.

Our Mission

• To nurture spiritually aware, morally grounded individuals who live by the timeless principles of Islam and the needs of our times.
• To facilitate education — in faith, life skills and civic participation — so that our members are equipped to thrive academically, professionally and personally.
• To foster meaningful service and outreach initiatives that uplift the less fortunate, strengthen community bonds, and build bridges beyond our immediate circle.
• To create inclusive platforms and opportunities for Indian Muslims in Hong Kong — bringing people together for worship, learning, dialogue and action.
• To promote mutual understanding and positive engagement with the wider Hong Kong society — so that our community contributes actively, respectfully and creatively to the common good.
