Janaza Funding

Janaza — the Islamic funeral prayer and burial — is among the most solemn and sacred obligations in Islam. It reflects our collective duty to ensure that every Muslim is laid to rest with dignity, compassion, and respect, regardless of their financial means. Supporting janaza services not only helps families in their time of loss but also upholds one of the most essential communal responsibilities in our faith.

The Indian Muslim Association (IMA) recognizes the importance of this duty and has established a Janaza Fund to assist in covering funeral and burial expenses for members and their families, particularly those in need, as well as for unclaimed janaza cases within the community.

Through IMA’s Membership Program, each member contributes HKD 250 annually to the Janaza Fund. These contributions ensure that the community can respond swiftly and compassionately whenever a janaza need arises — providing logistical, spiritual, and financial support at a moment when families need it most.

🌿 How You Can Support
  • Become a Member: Your annual membership helps sustain the Janaza Fund and other vital community services.
  • Contribute Voluntarily: Additional donations are always welcome to strengthen our collective ability to serve.
  • Raise Awareness: Encourage fellow community members to participate and uphold this shared responsibility.

By contributing to the Janaza Fund, you become part of an ongoing act of mercy and solidarity — helping ensure that every Muslim in our community receives the final rites they deserve, Insha’Allah.
